The Hole Flute

When I first moved to Middle Earth - desert on one side; gulf on the other - I was delighted by the many things not Korean: falafel and coriander, watermelon juice and dried mint; mosques and well-designed buildings; waiting in queue; speaking English; being able to cross the street without pissing myself - the list went on and on and on. One thing that particularly pleased me was the abundance of English signage and advertising: it all seemed so clear and direct! I wasn't wasting energy by constantly translating and interpreting, and I found myself enthralled, for the first time years, by real ads and advertising. One day I saw I delivery truck with a juice ad painted on the side that said "The Whole Fruit And Nothing But The Fruit" and it cracked me up like I was a kid just learning how to get 'Knock Knock' jokes. I even took pictures of it and - here's where this becomes important for you - I actually started naming playlists "The Whole Fruit #1" and "The Whole Fruit #2" and, even, "The Whole Fruit - Vacation Version". It's turned into a monster, and I blame English education in Korea for stunting my comedic maturity like that.

Anyway. This month has been crazy with work and real life (but in the best kind of way) and all I've found time to do is periodically throw new MP3 files into a folder that I've been meaning to sort by genre and style. It hasn't happened yet so I thought, in a burst of originality, that I should just upload them and share them in one big zip file. That way YOU get new music and I don't have to do any extra work! We'll call it (surprise) "The Whole Fruit And Nothing But The Fruit", and just consider it an exercise in eclecticism. There's a bit of hip-hop, a bit of country, a bit of indie rock and a few mainstream tracks - but it's all good. I'll be back soon with more music and more great puns.

Enjoy!

Oh no! it wants me to sign up for something!

Ever heard of dropbox? You can send out free downloads to your friends by using the "public" file.
like this: http://db.tt/8g3qd8U (Bill Callahan: Sometimes I Wish I Were an Eagle) without signups.

Disclosure: if you sign up because of me, it gives me extra free storage.

Hey you! I have heard of dropbox - and I use it every day - but I thought it might be too complicated and/or risky to just add a link to a public folder. I shall rethink my position!

Thanks for mentioning the 'sign-up' stipulation: those friggin' gggrrr &^5%@*s! ^^ I'll work something out.

Take care over there! you must be crazy (happy!) busy!
